Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak received North Sulawesi Governor Sarundajang at his parliamentary office Monday afternoon to discuss and support Malaysian investment in building the Manado - Bitung toll road, the Bitung port, tourism and fisheries.

"We came at Najib`s invitation to discus Malaysian investment in North Sulawesi. In the Coral Triangle meeting at Manado last year, Najib already noticed the potential of the province and asked for it to be developed," Governor Sarundajang said in the company of Indonesian Ambassador Da`i Bachtiar.

Officials of thr Contruction Industry Development Board (CIDB) came to North Sulawesi to see the potencial business and investment including in building the Manado-Bitung toll road, the Bitung port, tourism and fisheries. But the expansion of the investment is still in need of support of the Malaysian prime minister.

On Tuesday, the N Sulawesi governor and entourage will meet the Malaysian public works minister, the CIBD, and Malaysian investors to discuss the investment potentials. (*)
