TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Investors at the stock exchange are waiting for the policy of privatization of several State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) to be enacted.
Rizal Gozali, President Director of the Credit Suisse Group said that SOEs in the infrastructure, energy and banking sectors have aroused investors' interests.
The reason for this is that, according to Rizal, these three sectors have supported the government in stimulating the economy.
The enterprises in question are PT Krakatau Steel, PT Indonesia Power, PT Jasa Marga and PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara.
Other state-owned banks that have offered their shares in privatization programs such as Bank Mandiri and Bank BRI are also looking forward for half of their shares to be offered.
“Bank Tabungan Negara is also interesting,” Rizal said today (1/8).
Sugiharto, the State Minister for State Enterprises, has confirmed this.
The government has indeed decided to carry out the privatization program again this year.
It is targeted to reach around Rp3 trillion.
“Up until last night, it was still being discussed,” he said.
