IBM is getting more serious in trying new changes in Indonesia.

VIVAnews - Indonesian Vice President Boediono welcomed top officials from IBM Corporation in his office. During the visit, the IBM officials stated that Indonesia has been targeted one out of 20 countries for its investment, today, May 5.

Petinggi IBM Corporation yang menemui Boediono adalah General Manager Growth Markets Bruno Di Leo, General Manager ASEAN Cordelia Chung, dan Country Manager Indonesia Suryo Suwignjo. Mereka menemui Boediono sekitar 90 menit di Istana Wapres, Jakarta, 5 Mei 2010.

Vice presidential spokesperson Yopie Hidayat said IBM has conducted analysis over 154 emerging countries before finally picking out 20 countries.

"They've learned from the crisis. The emerging countries, especially in Asia, have great potentials," said Yopie.

Yopie said that IBM is getting more serious in trying new changes in Indonesia. "Possibly [Indonesia] will be the new base for its products," said Yopie. IBM will also work on several infrastructure projects especially on information and technology.

However, Yopie did not mention the value of investment that IBM will invest in the country.
