Govt to complete regulation on infrastructure development in May
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian government will complete formulation of all its regulations on infrastructure development by the end of May so that no more regulatory obstacles to investment exist by June before the holding of an infrastructure summit in the country, a spokesman said.
"Everything will be completed by the end of May," National Development Planning Minister Paskah Suzetta said here on Monday.
Speaking to the press after attending a coordination meeting on infrastructure at the Finance Mnistry, he said the meeting dwelt on several issues affecting infrastructure development, including formulation of all government regulations applocable to infrastructure development.
The regulations include a decision by the finance minister on the extension of loans to regional entities. "This is one of the regulations that must be completed by the end of this month," he said.
He said the meeting also discussed incentives to investors and the organization of the planned second infrastructure summit in Indonesia.(*)
