TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, will come to Indonesia on Thursday this week.
He is scheduled to give a speech at the annual Asia Pacific government leaders forum.
“Bill Gates will speak at the forum in the Jakarta Convention Center,” Lalu Mara, spokesperson for the Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare, told Tempo on Tuesday (6/5).
Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Aburizal Bakrie will hold a press conference regarding Gates's visit.
Information and Communication Minister M. Nuh, Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu, and State Minister for Research and Technology Kusmayanto Kadiman will attend the press conference at Bank Niaga Tower, Jalan Sudirman, tonight.
President Director of PT Microsoft Indonesia Tony Chen said that they plan to discuss problems regarding the implementation of integrated information technology especially for education, health maintenance, and sustainable economic growth.
Bill Gates is also scheduled to meet with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in this visit.
