Banda Aceh (ANTARA News) - Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Police chief Inspector General Rismawan has said he would ensure security for investors who wanted to invest in the province.

"I will ensure the security and thus, the investors are welcomed because no criminal act will disturb them in Aceh," Rismawan said in a function to lead the transfer of duty of several district police chiefs in Banda Aceh on Friday.

He noted that security condition in general has been practically conducive to the investors who wanted to invest in Aceh.

But commenting on crime rate which has tendency to escalate in Aceh, Rismawan said similar thing also happened in other regions.

Asked about the case of illegal tax at a number of projects in Aceh, he said it was an exaggeration.

"Such case does happen in one or two projects but it was exaggerated as if it occurred at all projects across Aceh," he said, adding that the new district police chief had been asked to take stern action against those who violated the existing rules in the province.

"I have ordered the new district police chiefs to take stern action against those who violate the rules," he added.(*)
